Basil Hayden's Rye

The first release of Basil Hayden's Rye is a nice low proof example of a rye similar to the bourbon. On the nose you get aromas of warm baking spices, caramel, hints of wood, and rye spice. The palate brings flavors of charred oak complimented by sweet brown sugar, black pepper, and dried fruit. The finish is smoke and oak with caramel.
